Akola(Maharastra)
Akola is a city in Vidarbha region in the state of Maharashtra in central India. It is about 290 miles (580km) east of the state capital Mumbai and 140miles (250km) west of the second capital Nagpur. There is a provision of parks, extensive planting and a recreational area along the river giving the city a green garden-city atmosphere.

Akola has a strong road network and is well connected by road to cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, Nasik, Bhusaval, Amaravati, Nagpur, Wardha, Buldhana, Washim and Yavatmal within Maharashtra through State and National Highway Network. Akola is also connected to cities such as Mumbai, Nashik and Bhasaval through National Highway 6A. Akola is situated about 257 km from Nagpur, 265 km from Aurangabad, 502 km from Pune, and about 587 km from Mumbai.

Akola is well connected by rail to most of the cities in the country and railways is quite the preferred mode of travel, especially visitors from outside Maharashtra. Trains regularly stop at Akola from other cities like Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad among others.
